Spaghetti Bolognese
Pasta a la Italiana
INGREDIENTS:
Spaghetti
1 pound ground beef1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced1
1 can crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Grated cheese, for serving
DIRECTIONS: Cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, stirring frequently. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, until it has thickened. While the sauce is cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions. Pour the sauce over the spaghetti. Sprinkle with grated cheese, if desired.
