Lasagne
Lasagne Bolognese
INGREDIENTS:
Lasagne noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced1
1 can crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and black pepper
Cheese
1 egg
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Grated Parmesan cheese
DIRECTIONS: Preheat the oven to 200°C. In a large pot, cook the ground beef medium heat until browned. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is soft.. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Cook the sauce 20 minutes. Boil a pot of salted water. Add the lasagne and cook according to the package instructions. Rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process. In a medium bowl, mix together the cheese and egg. Spread a layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Place a layer of lasagne noodles on top of the sauce. Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles. Repeat layers with the remaining sauce, noodles, cheese. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top. Bake for around 40 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly. Let them cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
